Mechanisms for quality assurance would be inbuilt. Standards would be kept and growth ensured. ICT and instructional technologies would be fully incorporated as working tools.

The University of Buea shall thus be mentoring and  supervising St Louis. Buea along with St Louis shall jointly issue the end of course certificates.

STRUCTURE OF ALL THE BACHELOR PROGRAMS

Each program is covered in two semesters (one year). The two semesters are on the school campus in Bamenda. Three months thereafter are devoted to field work in practical settings to sharpen functional skills in the different areas of competencies.

For more details on course programs and other related issues see the specific curriculum in detail by visiting our web page at www.saintlouisgroup.info.

All students must have good communication skills. If their language is poor, they will do well to register for private classes at the linguistic centre in Bamenda.
Eligibility for Bachelor Hospital Management Courses

Three groups of students are eligible for this course.

Group A  students:

Are those who have already studied and acquired at least a diploma in one of the health related disciplines including Medicine, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Pharmacy, Radiology and ultra sonography, Dental therapy etc. They must show that they had "A" Levels or BACC and studied for at least three years before getting the diploma. These would include HPD, Diplome D'Etat, SRN, DSEP in these fields. Equivalent certificates from other countries are also accepted.

Group B Students:

In view of government efforts to professionalize our current university degrees and programs to increase the job opportunities for youths; the following category of students with a Bachelor degree can join the program and obtain a B.Tech.  in Hospital Management. These are students who have a BSC in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Zoology, Botany, Economics, Management, Geography, Mathematics, Anthropology, Sociology.

Graduates in History, Gender Studies, Political Sciences and others would not be appropriate except were they can show proof of "A" Level Sciences.

Group B students have to take extra courses in basic health science classes that are offered during the day in the first to third year classes of the HPD classes on campus. These include: all Public Health related courses, Psychology, Psychiatry, Sociology, Human Development, Bio-Statistics, Research Methodology. They have to validate these courses before they can sit for the B.Tech examinations.

Students shall do well to learn and acquire computer skills on their own. Computer illiteracy shall be frowned upon and these skills are necessary from day one.

GROUP C STUDENTS, DISTANT LEARNING VIA INTERNET.

These are candidates who wish to study and get a degree in Health Administration but cannot be physically present on the school campus in Bamenda every day. This facility is reserved for Medical doctors, Surveillants and surveillant generalist, majors, general supervisors and other service heads and health personnel that are currently working in Cameroon. Students will have to travel to Bamenda on predetermined dates and intervals for interaction with staff and other students.

Other persons out of Cameroon have expressed their wish to participate but it is rather tricky and their case would be looked into later. They have the difficulty of being physically present in Bamenda at some point in time. We are still laying out a foundation on how to handle, follow up and manage this very important group C students. It is certain that their course work has to be spread over two years.
